Vintage Design
The contemporary Thonet chair No. 214 was originally designed by Michael Thonet in 1859 as chair No. 14. Together with chairs No. 18 and No. 56, this was one of Thonet’s most popular chairs. The chair was “redesigned” for Thonet in the 1960s by Paul Stanoβek. This set of chairs was produced in the late 60s/early 70s. The chairs have a caramel-coloured bentwood frame. Rare colour. Paper Thonet label.
