Vintage Design
Both comfortable as appealing is what this iconic design can be described as. The chair can be adjusted to one’s personal liking and needs: Convert the design from a straight chair to a highly comfortable lounge within seconds. Extend the headrest and retract the foot rest or fold it back in when not in use. The steel and rubber armrests are flexible to facilitate sitting. The result is an essentially modern look that manages to stay cosy while also showcasing a design edge. The ideal chair for anyone!
The striking combination of the original leather, which has obtained a nice overall patina in a greenish, to black colored leather makes the brass details stand out very nicely. The leather is in overal nice condition, and still very strong and usable due to the usage of high quality materials.
The P40, designed in 1955, is one of the most famous designs of Italian architect and designer, Osvaldo Borsani. This model is part of the most well renowned design collections around the world, including MoMA and the Center Pompidou, as a true icon of Italian design.
Versatile and functional with a strong personality, this lounge chair deserves its title of iconic design.
