Fantastic pair of “Le Bambole” modular sofa elements designed by Mario Bellini for B & B Italia in the 1970s. A beautiful edition in its original high quality light brown buffalo neck leather with nice overall patina and a beautiful texture. These elements are marked with the species of leather It is made from: The Gran Zebu, a leather kind known for its sturdy and high quality. These elements can be hooked together by metal clasps on the bottom of each element, and can be enjoyed as a two seater sofa, or the two elements can be placed freely to be enjoyed as armchairs. Besides the outstanding comfort this iconic sofa is famous for its timeless looks. The ‘Le Bambole’ collection was awarded the 1979 ‘Compasso d’Oro’ award. An example of Le Bambole is included in MoMA’s permanent collection.
