Vintage Design
An iconic chair, the ‘Strip chair’, designed by famous Dutch designer Gijs Bakker for Castelijn. It was released in 1974. The chair is made out of 6 bent strips of lacquered laminated wood. These are outstanding pieces in their simplicity. The underlying idea was to reduce the complexity of the chair’s form, that gave also a modern look that suited that era in time perfectly. This chair is a stackable chair and we have these as a set of 4 available. All chairs are in a very good condition with some signs of age and use.
