Vintage Design
A wonderful Swedish sofa in Gustavian style made of Scots Pine. The seat ends collapse, allowing the bench to fold down into a flatbed, which extends the length of the sofa and provides a comfortable sleeping option for guests. It has been completely stripped down and rebuilt with original tilt mechanisms, brackets, and recliners. The sofa has also been fully reupholstered with new webbing, hessian, and calico, and finished in new pink striped linen upholstery with two bolster cushions on either end. The frame has retained its original paint. This piece was sourced from a private residence in Stockholm, Sweden and imported to the United Kingdom for restoration. Swedish, circa 1900.
