This is a very well done digitally printed canvas with a primary multi-colored, mosaic-inspired motif. It is currently in our shop and most people are surprised to learn it is printed, and in fact, from a distance actually think it is a mosaic. It is a very decorative wall piece that is unsigned and of unknown origin.

A fantastic piece of artwork. Hand painted Japanese kite by famed kite painter Saburo Imai, this is an example shown by the Shirone Kite Association for a demonstration in Seattle in 1979. Beautiful colors and bold expressions for the famous kite fights in Shirone.

This is a 1960 French Mid-Century men’s tailoring lithograph for the man who enjoys the sport of riding horses. It is original to the date and NOT a recent reproduction print. It was from a tailoring atelier who specialized in sporting attire. The gentlemen equestrians are dressed in the ultimate of of riding fashion in their riding jackets, jodhpurs, vests, and riding hat. Note the signature of the illustrator and the rear view of the jacket. Perfect gift for the man who loves his horse. This image is in excellent condition. Measures 10.5 x 14 inches.

Beautifully matted in a rich maroon/brown fabric and framed in gold, the scenes are of the Italian countryside and engraved by Richard Earlom (1742-1822).

Claude Lorrain, also known as Claude Gellee, was a French artist who spent most of his life living in Italy during the Romantic period of art. He was a leading artist in the Italian school of landscape painting. Lorrain often attributed his inspirations to classical concepts of Rome’s countryside.

This is a 1941 Mid-Century French advertisement for jewelry by the iconic Boucheron designers. It originally was an advertisement that appeared in a French haute couture magazine of the time. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. It is a signed by the illustrator, Jacques Demachy, in lower left. The print showcases a bracelet, brooch, and earring grouping with intricate nuances of translucent metalwork under the Boucheron name. This was a new technique for jewelry making. The jewelry is brilliant and exquisite. Please note that the gold tones on both the jewelry and base are done in gold metallic inks which are even more notable in real time. Please also note the white gloves and the netted hat design. This is a very beautiful image that will work with all home décor styles. The image is clean and in excellent condition. Before the era of mass media communication, World’s Fairs were the foremost method of international information-sharing regarding the advancements of society in industry, science and the arts.

Belgian 1958 World’s Fair Trivia: Expo 58 was the eleventh world’s fair hosted by Belgium, and the fifth in Brussels. Nearly 15,000 workers spent three years building the 2 km2 (490 acres) site where many of the buildings were re-used from the 1935 World’s Fair (which had been held on the same fairgrounds).

The exhibition attracted 41.5 million visitors, making Expo 58 the second largest World’s Fair after the 1900 Exposition Universelle et Internationale de Paris, which had attracted 48 million visitors.

Very good condition, displays well. Print is free of holes, rips, tears or creases. Lays flat, the matte is quite nice. Some very minor ‘lines’ in the print seen at close range, some moderate residue or spots showing on the inside of glass (see 7th photo). One small scratch in the glass, upper left-hand corner (see 8th photo). In a few spots the frame shows light signs of age and minor scratches, rather subtle. Makes a very nice appearance and ready to hang. See photos for the best description.
