I spent many wonderful years in Japan and have loved this set of late Edo/early Meiji period Kyoto tansu clothing chests. They’re great for storing whatever you wish – linens, blankets, even cherished letters! They are constructed with wooden nails, cryptomeria wood with unusual fan shaped iron lock plates and scalloped “mokko” style iron drawer pulls. Stack them or place side by side. Or raise them using a newly constructed metal base.
