Stunning Waterford Crystal decanter, in the rarely seen “Shannon Jubilee” pattern. A relief cross-cut diamond pattern surrounding an arched fan, reminiscent of a palm , or sometimes referred to as a “thistle motif”. The shape of the decanter with its elongated neck and panels of horizontal cuts feels balanced and comfortable in the hand. An octagonal stopper is presented with horizontal cuts, with a measurement of approximately 4 inches tall. The decanter measures about 10.5 inches without the stopper, about 13.25 inches with the stopper fully engaged. The crystal is clear, bright and very reflective.

Borek Sipek (1949-2016) studied interior design at the School for Arts and Crafts in Prague. In 1983 he established his design workshop in Amsterdam, where he started his collaboration with italian company Driade. Sipek is said to be the god-father of “Neo-Baroque,” working between architecture, furniture, and glass, with a boldly eclectic and emotional sensibility.
