English Regency Black and Gold Armchair, 19th Century.
Antique shield back chair with hand painted reclining nude female and swan motif. The back stretcher is decorated with ornate griffins. Ebonized frame with golden Greek key patterns and striping. Woven cane seat and back. Turned curved front legs.
Good original condition with patina consistent with age and use. Age appropriate wear to the gold paint. The hand woven cane seat has been changed at some time by a professional.
