Contemporary Design
La Bamba Buffet is a piece meticulously created using traditional techniques in France. The locally sourced Ash wood with it’s “olivier” darker hues allows for a striking grain pattern. The drawer fronts were created using one plank to create a flowing grain pattern along the buffet. Re-purposed forest green fabric from the French fashion industry has been used to line the drawers, with traditional wooden sliding mechanisms. The picture frame doors are strengthened by the slim spindles fronting onto hand made antiqued glass that have a semi-transparent moss green effect. The subtly coned brushed brass knobs allow for easy access to the storage areas. The buffet sits on top of a slim wooden frame that mirrors the angles to provide a balanced form.
