Vintage Design
Produced by Cassina in the late 70s or early 80s, serial number 09892.
The LC-series furniture had been attributed to Le Corbusier, but nowadays Charlotte Perriand is recognised as the main designer. Thus just the name of Le Corbusier is engraved under this vintage LC8.
Perriand designed this stool initially for her own apartment at the Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris during the 1920s. It was at presented at the Autumn Salon of 1927 to a wider audience, it was part of the project “Bar sous le Toit” (bar under the roof).
Chromed structure made of tubular steel. Swivel seat covered with original black leather. Wear consistent with age and use. Small signs of wear as pictured.
