Mirror image pair of reclaimed terracotta roof tiles from old Tuscan farm houses. Reclaimed in the 1980’s, they were hand painted in Deruta, Italy by Mancinelli with images of putti or cherubs. The cherub on the bottom is holding an hourglass while riding a horse backwards and the putto on the top is holding a torch while reaching for a cornucopia full of flowers. Deruta is a small Italian town known for its tin glazed earthenware, majolica. Can be installed indoors or outdoors, they are ready to hang.
