Vintage Design
Set (2) folding chairs, model S88. Designed in 1956 by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, Italy. These mid century chairs feature a black tubular steel frame with a multi-part hinge/joint. The legs rotate around a central point, and the backrest can be unlocked with a pressure plate on the underside. Dimensions folded: 50cm x 46cm x 17cm. The seat and backrest are made of plywood with teak veneer. The frame is made of blackened steel. with Tecno label on the bottom and the classic Tecno “T” on the side. Used vintage condition. The mechanics work. Veneer with a pleasant patina, one chair has stains on the seat. Chipped veneer on the underside of a chair. Partly unoriginal screw connection. Please see the photos.
